MARCH 2026
The Board continues its modernization efforts by updating internal policies and formalizing its structure. These changes open the way for additional organizational reforms while partnering with the NEC and NUC.
THE CHANGES
Governing Documents – The BOD Bylaws and Operating Manual were formalized to provide voting and decision-making procedures. Both unify the Board, enabling the Board to provide strategy and advice to the organization.
Committees – Standing operating committees were created to divide responsibilities around governance, growth, membership, and finance. Each committee is finalizing its charter while working on their core objectives.
Organization – The Board is back to a quarterly meeting schedule. Though less frequent, the additional time enables greater reflection for more effective, longer-term decisions.
UPCOMING
Brother Gonzalo Cagigal II renewed our tax-exempt nonprofit status as a 501(c)(10) organization. This designation will empower local entities to seek official partnerships with external organizations.
The NEC initiated a Constitutional Review Committee in conjunction with the NUC and BOD. The Board will address long-term concerns around organizational identity and internal policymaking.
